With a view to ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement Process and the Public Procurement Act,the Procurement Unit of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka in collaboration with a team of experts from the Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr. Yusuf Olaleye, a Deputy Director and Mr. Godswill Limpee, held a 2 day in-house training on Public Procurement Due Process in the College from Tuesday, 23rd – Wednesday, 24th January, 2018.

At the Opening Ceremony, the Provost, Dr. Sijibomi Olusanya, who was ably represented by the Deputy Provost, Mr. Olusiji Dada, enjoined the participants to be attentive and make good use of the opportunity before them as well as draw from the wealth of experience of the facilitators.

The Facilitators highlighted issues like:
• Understanding the Public Procurement Process and the Public Procurement Act.
• Procurement Methods, Approval Thresholds and Requirements for the Issuance of Certificate of “No Objection”.
• Fundamental Principles of Bid Examinations/Evaluation.
• Requirements of Good Advertisement, *Principles/Requirements of bid collection, bid submission and bid opening.
• Complaint Procedure/Administrative Review.

Participants were drawn from the Procurement, Bursary and Information Units of the College.

At the end of the 2 Day in-house Training, the Management of the College assured the Bureau of total compliance with the Public Procurement Process and the Public Procurement Act.

The Facilitators were highly satisfied with the performance of the participants and appreciated the College Management for their hospitality, support and commitment to the 2 Day in-house Training.
