Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Admission into 1 (One) year Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) Full- Time Programme.

The PDE Course is a Teacher-Certification course for inculcation of skills in professionals to prepare them for teaching in Polytechnics, Nursing Institutions, Colleges of Education. Technical Colleges. Commercial Institutions, Training Departments in the Public and Private Sectors and Senior Secondary Schools.

Applicants must possess any of the following:
a. A University Degree or Professional qualification in the relevant fields.
b. Higher National Diploma (HND) of an accredited Polytechnics or College of Technology in the relevant fields.
c. 5 O’Level GCE/WAEC credit passes including English and Mathematics.

Method of Application for Professional Diploma in Education Programme

Application forms are obtainable on payment of a non—refundable fee of N10,000.00 into Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka CBN Account upon generation of Remittal Retrieval Reference (RRR) from the College Central Pay office (CPO) from Monday 11th September, 2017. The bank print out should be forwarded to the College cash office between 8.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. (Monday – Friday) for payment receipt.

Duration: 4 years on weekends

a. Associate Certificate in Education and /or TC Grade II Certificate
b. GCE OL, SSCE, WASC or NECO with passes in at least 5 subjects at one sitting four of which must be at credit level or 5 credits at two sittings, which must be relevant to the proposed course of study
c. Federal Crafts Certificate or NABTEB
Note: OND holders (1) credit in English Language is compulsory for all courses (2) Candidates with deficiency in English Language or Mathematics may be given concessional admission provided it is not the course such candidates want to offer.

Admission Requirements
a. Jamb Score of 100 and above
b. GCE O/L, SSCE of WASC or NECO with credit passes in Five (5) Subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings. Two of the credits must be relevant to the proposed course of study.
c. Federal Crafts Certificate or NABTEB

All prospective students who scored 100 marks and above in the last UTME exercise should submit their change of Institutions slips, WAEC result and JAMB Score print out to the Admissions Office with payment of the Post UTME Screening fee of N2,000.00 into Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka CBN Account upon generation of Remittal Retrieval Reference (RRR) from the College Central Pay office (CPO) .

The Post UTME Screening exercise shall commence from Friday 29th September, 2017.
