The Federal Government has re-constituted a new Governing Council for federal college of Education(Technical), Akoka.
At the inauguration , the Provost of the College ,Dr Sijibomi Olusanya took the entire gathering down the memory lane by outlining the College history, the College achievements and challenges. The College being the First Technical College in Nigeria is rested upon a 15 hectares of land,having 10 hectares of it being fully developed while the remaining 5 hectares is still under developed. The College has since been in partnership with several notable bodies within and outside the country such as UNDP,UNESCO,TETFUN,Shell Oil Company to mention a few.
Dr Olusanya implores the council chairman to assist in solving her challenges such as land constraint,inadequate funds etc
The Council under the chairmanship of Honorable Ihenacho Obioma was received with arousing welcome by the College community. Hon. Iheanacho stated that the council under his supervision will make sure all pressing issues of the College are resolved and will see to the development of all sectors of the great citadel of learning.
